Add Asset Instance

Purpose: Create an instance of an asset type and assign property values to it.

Task: Add an asst instance to an asset type by entering a value in the Name column of the Equipment tab. Enter a Description (optional). Change the source of a property to use a Tag’s value, then drag in a tag from Tag Browser. After saving, double-click the tag icon to trend the asset property’s underlying tag.

Steps:

1. Select the Asset Maintenance option in the Asset section of the Home Tab.

   

2. Select an asset type from the tree, then on the Equipment tab click in the Name column to create a new item row. Enter a Name and Description (optional).

   

3. Drag and drop a tag into the property field.

   

4. After saving, double-click the tag icon to trend the selected asset property’s underlying tag.
