This section provides a general overview of PARCserver, including its architecture and various functions. The basics of configuring and interacting with PARCserver applications are also introduced.
There are two types of PARCserver applications: those that require that a license for the dataPARC historian and those that are licensed individually or do not require a license.
The dataPARC historian is not required to utilize PARCview as a visualization tool. Also, several PARCserver applications may be used to process or monitor data from third-party historians. Many other dataPARC features are only accessible with a full PARCserver license including the dataPARC Historian.
