The User Options window sets client-specific preferences for PARCgraphics Designer.

Automatic Save

Enabled: Whether to automatically save backup files.

Frequency: How often to save backup files, in minutes.

Designer Defaults

Maintain Group Scaling: If elements are grouped together, then the group is resized, the elements will stay resized if ungrouped.

Binding – General Settings

Read-Only Mode: If unchecked, certain elements can send a value to another element. Used primarily with WPF and OPC binding.

Validity Check: Checks integrity of UTag binding on every paste operation. Should only be used for troubleshooting as it will affect performance.

Binding – Available Sources

Tag: Make UTag source available for binding.

OPC: Make OPC source available for binding. Also adds the OPC Tag Browser to the Edit ribbon.

WPF: Make WPF source available for binding. In WPF binding, the property value of one element can be bound to the property value of another element.

Default Values – Binding

Numeric Format Mask: Default value in mask field.

Default Text Value: Default value of PVTextBlock elements. This value is used as fallback when binding fails to produce an output.

Default Values – New Display

Name: Not editable.

Font Family: The default font family that text elements will use.

Font Size: The default font size that text elements will use.

Update Rate: The global update rate of the display. This is how often the display will update current values and embedded displays. The update rate can be overridden on an element-by-element basis.

Size: Canvas size, in Width x Height pixels. Select from presets or enter custom value.

Default Values – New User Control

Name: Not editable.

Font Family: The default font family that text elements will use.

Font Size: The default font size that text elements will use.

Size: Default size of User Control when added to canvas. Select from presets or enter custom value.
