The basics of configuring and interacting with PARCserver applications are also introduced. There are two types of PARCserver applications: those that require that a license for the dataPARC historian and those that are licensed individually or do not require a license. The dataPARC historian is not required to utilize PARCview as a visualization tool. Also, several PARCserver applications may be used to process or monitor data from third-party historians. Many other dataPARC features are only accessible with a full PARCserver license including the dataPARC Historian. | **Available Without dataPARC Historian** | **Available Only With dataPARC Historian** | | --- | --- | | Fire Daemon | PARChistory | | PARCaggregate | PARChistory Defrag | | PARCalarm Server | PARChistory Average | | PARCrollup Server | PARChistory Backfill | | PARCtag Sync | PARChistory Import Server | | PARCtask Server* | PARCcalc Config | | PARCtask PARCview Host* | PARCcalc Server | | PARCsecurity Server | PortIO | | PARCtag Emailer | PortIO File Copy | | PARCenterprise | PARCio | | PARChda Health | PARCprofile Historian | | PARCdata | PARCnet Watch | * Requires a separate license key Some of the PARCserver applications have a corresponding client-side PARCview display or tool. For instance, [PARCtask Workflow Designer](/v1/docs/parctask-workflow-designer) is part of PARCview and [PARCtask Server](/v1/docs/parctask-server) executes the workflows set up in the Designer.
