The PARCprofile historian writes the history files for CTC.Profile type tags. It is not necessary to run the PARCprofile Historian if no CTC.Profile tags are in use. These tags can be used with the Waterfall display to show data in two dimensions, such as for a scanner on a paper machine. The tags have a set number of positions which is set with the TagDef parameters in the Tag Editor. The values in each position are stored in an array.
