PARCfile Copy Summary and Overview

This information is specific to the latest release of PARCview:
7.2.x
PARCFileCopy is used to transfer files from the PARCIO/PortIO client to the PARChistory server without using network file shares. There are two executables involved: PARCFileCopy Client runs on the PARCIO/PortIO machine and PARCFileCopy Server runs on the PARChistory machine.
PARCSecurity Permissions
PARCFileCopy will not have any related PARCsecurity permissions.
Configuration
PARCFileCopy configuration files are located in the ..\Program Files\Capstone\PARCFileCopy subfolder of the PARCserver install. Here you can configure the source folder, destination server, and destination port.
Log Files
PARCmessage is a built-in error monitoring software. It creates an ongoing log of errors generated from PARCview on the specific computer where PARCmessage is running. PARCenterprise Manager errors can be found in the PARCmessage console.
Errors can also be stored in the PARCview install directory both on the server and clients ...\Capstone\PARCView\LogFiles\PARCEnterpriseManager.
Required Server Applications
PARCFileCopy Client and PARCFileCopy Server and both required for the applications to function together.
UA Server: All PARCview version 7 functionality requires a Universal Access (UA) server.
GDS: All PARCview version 7 functionality requires a Global Discovery Server (GDS).
