Configure Trend Defaults

Purpose: Practice changing the default properties of a Trend display.

Task: In a Trend display, open the Properties window. On the Trend Config tab, modify property values to change the default behavior and appearance of the Trend.

Steps:

1. On the Trend Config tab, change the Default Timespan to determine the time span of the Trend when it is opened and whenever the “X” (current) button is pushed.

   

2. Change the Normal Future % to set the amount of space on the Trend reserved for “future” data as it comes in.

   

3. Text entered in the Trend Name field can replace the Description column header text. The corresponding property on the Tag Info Grid Tab must also be checked.

   

4. Click OK in the lower-left-hand corner to apply changes.
