Automated Tasks

PARCtask is a versatile tool to automate certain tasks, such as saving a saving a PARCview display as an image file and emailing it to a distribution list. PARCtag Emailer is a legacy application that still functions to send emails with tag data. PARCtask is recommended as it is a newer and more robust tool.

Workflows are created and scheduled in the PARCtask Workflow Designer, and data is stored in ctc_config. PARCtask Server runs the workflows as established in the Workflow Designer. PARCtask Server calls PARCtask PARCview Host to render PARCview displays as images, and these images are sent back to PARCtask Server to save as a file or to attach to an email.
