Introduction - Using the PARCview Help Manual

The dataPARC Help Manual is a powerful resource for new and seasoned PARCview users. It has step by step tutorials to get you started looking at data, outlines uses for displays settings and has scripting references to help build calculations.

The Help Manual is easily accessible in every PARCview display. When the manual is accessed from a display it will open to that section so you can quickly find the information you are looking for.

The Help Manual has 2 main tabs, Contents and Search.

The Contents tab shows all the categories in the Help Manual. The categories can be expanded to drill down into specific displays or concepts.

The Search tab is used to search for keywords. Any page that has the keyword will appear in the search.

The Tutorials at the bottom of the Contents Tab help new users learn how to navigate PARCview. This step by step guide uses the "Sample" source (a universal source, though it may be disabled) so users can follow along with the same data and images in the Manual.
