Deactivating a Tag

1. Change the Active Tag column to FALSE.  The cell will turn yellow.

2. Click Write Tags for the selected row, or Write all tags in the drop-down menu to update all changed rows.

This does not delete the tag, but makes it inactive. It will not appear in the Tag Browser and if it is an OPC tag, data will not be collected for that tag. For MDE and Stock Tracking tags, Visible Tag can be set to False to hide the tag, but data collection cannot be affected.
