dataPARC.UA.ServerManager.exe Summary and Overview

This information is specific to the latest release of PARCview:
7.2.x
UA Server Management allows the user to view a list of Session ID’s and various statistics of each. Including Client Name, IP, Hostname, Connected Time, Last Request, Tags Active/Created, Read Requests, and more. It can also drill down into each client to determine which specific tags are in use and the number of instances for each.
This tool is included with every default PARCview client install.
PARCSecurity Permissions
PARCsecurity Console will allow users with the following permission to open the tool and view the data.
- dataPARC Admin - Grants administrative access to PARCview.
Configuration
The only configuration for the UA Server Management tool is to set up the client connection details to the UA Server that is desired. When opening the .exe file located in the main PARCview application folder a login screen will prompt the user for credentials. If the site is running with a set of pooled UA servers, you will need to create a site that connects to the specific port of the UA server if the default of 51235 is not desired.
Log Files
PARCmessage is a built-in error monitoring software. It creates an ongoing log of errors generated from PARCview on the specific computer where PARCmessage is running.
UA Server Management specific errors will be stored on the PARCview install path ...\Capstone\PARCview\LogFiles\dataPARC.UA.ServerManagement
Errors can also be stored in the PARCview install directory both on the server and clients ...\Capstone\PARCView\LogFiles
Required Server Applications
UA Server: Allows clients, including applications, a connection into PARCview data.
GDS (Global Discovery Server): Certificate authority responsible for issuing certificates to the UA server trusted by the PARCview client.
