Splice is a feature of SnapShot. In SnapShot, users have the ability to Cut out part of the trend, leaving a gap.
Enabled: Enables splice. When data is cut, remove time as well as data.
Method: How to handle the gap in time created by the splice.
None: Treat time as if it did not exist.
Average Difference: Take the difference of the points on either side and treat as average over time.
