Article summary

Synchronize: If set to true, the source will be monitored by PARCtag Sync and the PARCview Tag Browser source tab will default to reading tags for those sources from the PARCview database instead of the underlying historian.

Update Frequency (Mins): How frequently, in minutes, PARCtag Sync will update the source.

Next Update Time: The next time PARCtag Sync will automatically update the source.

Create New Tags: If true, PARCtag Sync will create new tags in the PARCview configuration database whenever it sees a tag in the underlying historian that does not exist in the PARCview database. The new tags will be assigned to the “Unidentified” process unit, but can easily be moved to the correct process later.

Disable Missing Tags: If true, PARCtag Sync will disable any tags in the PARCview configuration database that don’t exist in the tag list retrieved from the source’s historian.

Update Descriptions: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s description to match the description returned from the tag’s historian.

Update Units: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s units to match the units returned from the tag’s historian.

Update Plot Min: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s plot min to match the plot min returned from the tag’s historian.

Update Plot Max: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s plot max to match the plot max returned from the tag’s historian.

Update Data Type: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s data type, such as string or floating point, to match the data type returned from the tag’s historian.

Update Interpolate Type: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s interpolate type, such as state or continuous, to match the interpolate type returned from the tag’s historian.

Update Draw Mode: If true, PARCtag Sync will update each tag’s draw mode, such as state or continuous, to match the draw mode returned from the tag’s historian.

Tag Filter RegEx: Enter a regular expression to filter the tag list by marking tags as inactive. Useful to only synchronize a subset of a source's tags. Clear the filter and run tag sync to re-enable tags.

Disable Filter Tags: If True, filtered tags will not appear in the tag list. If false, the filter will not affect the tag list.
