Configuration
To open Client Configuration, click the Client button on the File ribbon of PARCview Explorer, or click the Client Configuration button in PARCview Explorer’s application button.
Source Overrides: The Source Overrides tab is used to configure a PARCview client to connect to a data source differently than the default system setting.
HDA Advanced: Auto Start Local HDA Server: If checked, the PARCview client’s local OPC HDA server will load when PARCview launches, rather at the time of the first data request.
Trend Extensions: The Trend Extensions tab is where trend extensions are configured. Trend Extensions allow additional dataPARC applications, such as PARCmodel, to be launched from PARCview’s right click menu on the trend display.
Trend: The Trend tab contains options for how the trend displays and loads tag data.
TracSuite: ControlTrac and PlantTrac are additional components available as add-ons for use with PARCview.
Logbook: Logbook functionality can be tailored for the local PC.
User Preferences: A choice of additions to PARCview Explorer’s ribbon bar is available for each user as well as other visual options.
Log Files
PARCMessage is a built-in error monitoring software. It creates an ongoing log of errors generated from PARCview on the specific computer where PARCMessage is running in the system tray. The Icon in the tray is a triangle, red if errors are present, and green if there are no errors.
Errors can also be stored in the PARCview install directory both on the server and clients ...\Capstone\PARCView\LogFiles.
Required Server Applications
UA Server: All PARCview vr 7 functionality requires a Universal Access (UA) server.
