# Choose Historical Version

Select **File** then **Restore Old Version** in the group ribbon bar to open the Choose Historian Version window.

This tool is used to compare an older version of the code with the current one.

**Compare to Current:** Opens two .TXT documents, one containing the current code and one containing the old code, in order to compare the two.

**Load:** Loads the old code.

**Cancel:** Closes the window.
